Business Basics Grants Program – Round 3
Applications for Round 3 of the Business Basics Grants Program will open at 9 am on 4 May 2022 and will close once QLD government receive a sufficient number of applications for competitive assessment. There are now two funding streams available and will be location based being South East Queensland or regional Queensland. Your location is based on which Local Government Area the businesses headquarters are, for a breakdown of which local government areas are considered South East Queensland please visit the Business Basics Grants Program website. All other local government areas are considered regional Queensland.
The Grant Payment aims to provide support to businesses to increase core skills and adopt best practices in:
· Training and coaching
· Website build or upgrades
· Professional business advice
· Strategic marketing services
· Business continuity and succession
Eligibility Criteria:
· The business has a turnover of $300,000 or less during the 2020/2021 financial year
· Have not been approved for funding under either the first or second Round of the QLD Business Basics Grants program
· At the time of your application, have fewer than 20 employees
· Have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) and be registered for GST
· Have a Queensland headquarters, and be based in Queensland
· The business owners and Directors are not insolvent or an undischarged bankrupt.
· Be able to provide a quote from 1 or 2 (2 maximum) suppliers detailing description and costs of services, who will undertake the activity and an outline of the key activities. Invoices must be dated after 13 April 2022 to be eligible. You will only be able to upload 1 quote per supplier.
Applications must be completed online via SmartyGrants. If you do not already have a DESBT SmartyGrants Applicant Account, we recommend completing this before the application opening date.
With your grant application you must include
· Your supplier quote/s, ensuring they are dated after 13 April 2022
· The business owner or director must provide a signed and witnessed statutory declaration stating that all eligibility criteria has been met
