JobKeeper Update - Extension Two

The second extension of the JobKeeper Payment scheme started on 4 January 2021 and will continue until 28 March 2021. Businesses that may be seeking JobKeeper support are again required to demonstrate they have sustained a greater than 30% decline in turnover for the December 2020 quarter relative to the December 2019 quarter.

Please contact our office if you require assistance in determining your eligibility. You may be eligible for JobKeeper extension 2 even if you were not eligible for JobKeeper previously.

JobKeeper Extension 2 payment rates have reduced as follows:

  • $1,000 per fortnight for tier 1 employees

  • $650 per fortnight for tier 2 employees

For those businesses receiving JobKeeper, we are now in the second half of Fortnight 21.
Fortnight 21: 4 January 2021 – 17 January 2021; employees must be paid by 31 January 2021.
Fortnight 22: 18 January 2021 – 31 January 2021; employees must be paid by 31 January 2021.
